He is the first Black Superhero in mainstream American comics.
Black Panther is the ruler and protector of the African nation of Wakanda. Using technology, wits, and extraordinary fighting ability he must protect his nation from an invasion led by Ulysses Klaw, the man who killed his father.
Based on the comic book issues written by Reginald Hudlin and illustrated by John Romita Jr., the animated mini-series Black Panther stars Djimon Hounsou as Black Panther, along with Jill Scott, Carl Lumbly, Stephen Stanton, Kerry Washington, Alfre Woodard, David Busch, JB Blanc, Phil Morris, Vanessa Marshall, Rick D. Wasserman, Peter Lurie, Georgette Perna, Kevin Michael Richardson, Phil LaMarr, Nolan North, Jonathan Adams, Taye Diggs and Stan Lee.
