The Black Panther’s origin is retold in cinematic scope with social satire and all-out action. The Black Panther (T’Challa) is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The character first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966). He is the first Black Superhero in mainstream American comics.

Black Panther is the ruler and protector of the African nation of Wakanda. Using technology, wits, and extraordinary fighting ability he must protect his nation from an invasion led by Ulysses Klaw, the man who killed his father.

Based on the comic book issues written by Reginald Hudlin and illustrated by John Romita Jr., the animated mini-series Black Panther stars Djimon Hounsou as Black Panther, along with Jill Scott, Carl Lumbly, Stephen Stanton, Kerry Washington, Alfre Woodard, David Busch, JB Blanc, Phil Morris, Vanessa Marshall, Rick D. Wasserman, Peter Lurie, Georgette Perna, Kevin Michael Richardson, Phil LaMarr, Nolan North, Jonathan Adams, Taye Diggs and Stan Lee.
