The Midnight Hour centers on high school friends Phil, Melissa, Mitch, Mary and Vinnie, who unwittingly raise the dead on Halloween night after they recreate an ancient curse. This includes Melissa’s great, great, great, great grandmother Lucinda, a witch, along with other previously dead and buried. Once the dead have returned, the town of Pitchford Cove will never be the same again….or will it?

Directed by Jack Bender, The Midnight Hour – originally an ABC Movie of the Week in 1985 – stars Jonelle Allen, Shari Belafonte, LeVar Burton, Peter DeLuise, Jonna Lee, Kevin McCarthy, Lee Montgomery, Cindy Morgan, Dedee Pfeiffer, Dick Van Patten, Mark Blankfield, Hank Garrett, Sheila Larken, Dennis Redfield, Kurtwood Smith and Wolfman Jack.

The film was notably scored by Brad Fiedel, who began his career as a keyboardist for Hall & Oates, then went on to create soundtracks for many iconic cult movies of the 1980’s, such as Just Before Dawn (1981), Fright Night (1985), Fraternity Vacation (1985), The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), The Terminator (1984), and its sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
