Created by Gerry Anderson and Sylvia Anderson, Space: 1999 stars Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Nick Tate, Zienia Merton, Sandra Benes, Sarah Bullen, Barry Morse, Catherine Schell, Prentis Hancock, Clifton Jones, Anton Phillips, Tony Anholt, John Hug, Yasuko Nagazumi and Jeffery Kissoon. The series follows the crew of Moonbase Alpha, who struggle to survive when a massive explosion throws the Moon from Earths orbit and out into deep space.
Space: 1999 originally aired on ITV in the United Kingdom beginning in 1975, and soon after was released on American television.
