Michael B. Jordan Takes on Alan R. Trustman’s Classic Heist Tale The Thomas Crown Affair

Academy Award winner Michael B. Jordan directs, produces and stars in a heist thriller with a very familiar name to movie fans, where the most dangerous man in the room is the one nobody’s watching. The Thomas Crown Affair, due in movie theaters on March 5th, 2027, also stars Kenneth Branagh, Adria Arjona, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurria and Pilou Asbæk.

The 2027 film marks the third adaptation of Alan Trustman’s original story, which gets a refresh by screenwriters Drew Pearce and Jason Hall. The original Thomas Crown Affair was released in 1968, directed by Norman Jewison and starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. The second iteration was the 1999 John McTiernan-directed movie with Pierce Brosnan, Rene Russo and Denis Leary headlining. Amazon MGM Studios is scheduled to reveal a teaser trailer for Michael B. Jordan’s 2027 thriller tomorrow, July 29th, 2026.
