- Lucky Strike Entertainment announced the grand opening of its newest venue on Aliso Creek Road in Aliso Viejo, California. The new venue spans nearly 38,000 sq. ft. and features 35 glow-in-the-dark bowling lanes, giant high-definition video screens, an expansive arcade, along with chef-inspired dining and beverage offerings.
- Sony Interactive Entertainment teams up with Bad Robot Games to produce the Studio’s first internally developed game. The four-player cooperative shooter from Left 4 Dead game director Mike Booth is in development for PlayStation 5 and PC. Bad Robot Games is part of film and television production company Bad Robot, founded by JJ Abrams. More details on the game are expected to be shared at a later date.
- Captured during her sold-out world tour, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour Live in 3D brings an innovative concert experience to the big screen from one of the most celebrated artists of her generation. Presented in immersive 3D, the film is co-directed by Academy Award winners Eilish and James Cameron.
- AMC Theatres will screen the series finale of the Netflix hit show Stranger Things during a special two-night promotional engagement at 200 U.S. AMC locations on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. Beginning New Year’s Eve, fans will gather for a celebratory screening of the highly anticipated series conclusion. Guests can secure their seats by purchasing a $20 food and beverage credit at any time leading up to the event.
- Filmmaker Kevin Smith is hosting a live auction from Smodcastle Cinemas in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, featuring movie props, signed memorabilia, scripts, posters, original art and more, with Smith himself acting as head auctioneer, discussing the background of each item as they go on to the auction block. Each item includes a C.O.A. from Bodnar’s Auction House. Proceeds go to help keep the lights on at Smodcastle Cinemas.
- On Dec. 11, 2025, stars of Paramount Pictures’ Street Fighter movie surprised the audience during The Game Awards to debut the first sneak peek of the upcoming film, including a first look at each of the movie’s 17 iconic characters. Directed by Kitao Sakurai and set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu and Ken Masters are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament – a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind the battle lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past.
- Strange billboards have popped up in New York and Los Angeles teasing Steven Spielberg’s top secret, as-yet-untitled film about UFOs. The sightings have resurfaced fringe conspiracy theories that filmmaker has had access to official UFO files, or has embedded hidden truths in his other sci-fi movies. All will be disclosed according to the banners, imposed on an image of a bird’s silhouette and an upside-down human eye. A trailer for the film – which stars Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, Josh O’Connor and Colman Domingo, is set to run attached to screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The film is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2026.
