Mondo Unveils Repress of Danny Elfman’s Batman Film Soundtrack in Collector Box Set

Mondo has repressed their beautifully illustrated Batman Original Motion Picture Score as a collector’s box set, featuring new vinyl variants bundled with DC Comic’s Batman ’89, a continuation of the story by screenwriter Sam Hamm, Joe Quinones and Leonardo Ito.

The Batman Original Motion Picture Score comes incased a newly designed clamshell with artwork by series artist Quinones and Paolo Rivera. The soundtrack boasts Danny Elfman’s iconic score conducted by Shirley Walker, with liner notes by John Takis and original art by Killian Eng.

Tim Burton’s version of Batman stars Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/The Dark Knight, Jack Nicholson as Joker, Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale, Robert Wuhl as Alexander Knox, Pat Hingle as Commissioner Gordon, Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent, Michael Gough as Alfred, and Jack Palance as Grissom, along with Jerry Hall, Tracey Walter, Lee Wallace, William Hootkins, Richard Strange, Carl Chase, Mac McDonald, George Lane Cooper, Terence Plummer, Philip Tan and John Sterland. In the movie, The Dark Knight of Gotham City begins his war on crime with his first major enemy Jack Napier, a criminal who becomes the clownishly homicidal Joker.
