McFarlane Toys has released a set of classic-styled action figures from the Mortal Kombat video game series for pre-order as part of the company’s licensing deal with WB Games and NetherRealm. The series, called Mortal Kombat Klassic, includes the characters Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and a GameStop Exclusive Kitana figure as a McFarlane Platinum Edition, along with a Walmart Exclusive Sub-Zero vs. Mileena Deluxe 2-Pack. Each figure is 7 inches tall and includes a variety of weapons and attachment accessories. All are also showcased in Mortal Kombat Klassic-themed window box packaging and are designed with “Ultra Articulation” featuring up to 22 moving parts for a full range of potential poses.

Based on GameStop’s pre-order product page for Kitana, the figures are scheduled to be released on September 8, 2025.

The pre-orders for the action figures come a few months before the theatrical release of Mortal Kombat II, a film adaptation of the fighting video game series that stars Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, Damon Herriman as Quan Chi, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Max Huang as Kung Lao and Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod.

Lui Kang

After winning the Shaolin Tournament from Shang Tsung’s clutches, Kang returns to his Temples, where he discovers his sacred home in ruins. His Shaolin brothers were killed in a vicious battle with a horde of outworld warriors. Now he travels into the dark realm seeking revenge.

Lui Kang includes 2 extra hands and a base.

Scorpion

The hell-spawned specter rises from the pits. After learning of Sub-Zero’s return, Scorpion again stalks the ninja assassin by following him into the dark realm of the outworld, where he continues his own unholy mission.

Scorpion includes a Kunai and a base.

Sub-Zero

Thought to have been killed in the Shaolin tournament, Sub-Zero mysteriously returns. It is believed he traveled into the outworld to again attempt to assassinate Shang Tsung. To accomplish this, Sub-Zero must fight his way through Shao Kahn’s tournament.

Sub-Zero includes 2 extra hands and a base.

Sub-Zero vs. Mileena Deluxe 2-Pack

Serving as an assassin along with her twin sister Kitana, Mileena’s dazzling appearance conceals her hideous intentions. At Shao Kahn’s request, Mileena is asked to watch for her twin’s suspected dissension and must put a stop to it at any cost.

The Deluxe 2-pack includes: 4 alternate hands, 2 alternate head portraits, Sub-Zero’s Ice Grenade, Spine Rip Fatality, Spine Rip Fatality with a head peg, Mileena’s twin sai, and Throwing Sai energy effects. This set also includes 2 flight stands, fighting base with reversable backdrop. Flight stands can connect to the base to re-create custom fight scenes.

Kitana

Kitana’s beauty hides her true role as personal assassin for Shao Kahn. She is seen talking to an Earth real warrior and her motives have come under suspicion by her twin sister Mileena. However, only Kitana knows her own true intentions.

Kitana’s accessories include an open fan, closed fan and a base.
