Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo founded in 1993 in Paris, France by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The band became popular during the 1990s French house music movement, combining house, funk, disco, techno, rock and synth-pop into their signature sound, which produced four studio albums, two global tours and numerous film soundtrack albums. Daft Punk are regarded as one of the most influential groups in electronic dance music history.
