Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, Grindhouse is modeled on old fashioned B-movie double features, and includes two full-length movies and faux movie trailers – some of which became actual films themselves. The Grindhouse experience includes the movies Planet Terror and Death Proof, along with fake movie trailers for titles including Machete, Thanksgiving, Don’t, Hobo with a Shotgun and Werewolf Women of the S.S. The project is an homage to exploitation double features from the 1960s and ’70s.

Robert Rodriguez’ sci-fi zombie horror Planet Terror takes begins after an experimental bio-weapon is released, turning thousands of people into zombie-like creatures. It’s up to a rag-tag group of survivors to stop the infected and those behind the bio-weapon’s release.

Death Proof centers on two groups of sexy, voluptuous women that are stalked at different times by a scarred stuntman who uses “death proof” cars to execute his murderous plans.
