This customized Cadillac Fleetwood was the vehicle of choice for “The Duke of New York,” who ruled over all other captives on the dystopian citywide maximum security prison of New York City. During a crisis involving the President of the United States, a soldier-turned-bank robber known as “Snake” Plissken, is tasked with rescuing the U.S. President, after he crash lands on the island of Manhattan. Written and directed by John Carpenter, Escape from New York stars Kurt Russell, Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine, Donald Pleasence, Isaac Hayes, Season Hubley, Harry Dean Stanton, Adrienne Barbeau, Tom Atkins, Charles Cyphers, Joe Unger, Frank Doubleday and John Strobel.
