Tura, the documentary on the life of Asian American actress Tura Satana, is currently enjoying a theatrical run at the Lumiere Cinema in Los Angeles. The release comes months after having its World Premiere during the November 2024 San Diego Asian Film Festival. Written and directed by Cody Jarrett, Tura is narrated by actress and comedian Margaret Cho. The film features interviews with John Waters, Dita Von Teese, Dennis Busch, Tara Moss, Eric C. Charmelo, Joshua Grannell and Nancy Wang Yuen.

One of the most recognizable figures in B-movies, Tura Satana is most-famous for her iconic role in the Russ Meyer cult classic crime film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. She also made appearances in Irma la Douce, Our Man Flint, The Astro-Zombies, The Doll Squad, Mark of the Astro-Zombies, and Sugar Boxx, along with walk-on rolls in the television shows Hawaiian Eye, The Greatest Show on Earth, Burke’s Law, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.
