The Harley Cokeliss-directed Battletruck takes place in a post World War III society filled with collapsed governments and bankrupt countries that herald a lawless age. All remaining reserves of petroleum have run dry, forcing people to ration the few remaining containers of gasoline left on earth, while fighting mercenaries and scavengers. A former government official named Jacob Straker leads a group of former soldiers to seek out a vast supply of fuel in a compound once thought to be radioactive. The group travel in a heavily armored “battle truck,” which is armed with heavy machine guns and a howitzer. Battletruck stars Michael Beck, Annie McEnroe, James Wainwright, Bruno Lawrence, John Bach, Randy Powell and John Ratzenberger.
